In addition to the two previously seen Air Jordan 4 models, we're also getting our first look at the Jordan Zoom '92 in "Guava" and the first-ever version of the Jordan Delta Mid in "Off Noir."
The AJ4s offer thick but plush suede, the kind you find on Birkenstock sandals along with '80s-inspired mesh. Because Chris Gibbs liked to wear his pairs back in the day with the tongue down and stitched, he added that detail to this collaboration. So you can easily remove the stitch if you want and wear it the normal way too. The Air Jordan tab at that point goes from the outside to being upside down on the inside of the tongue. Finally, an extra panel was added to the sneaker, changing it's design to allow for a better suede to mesh ratio and sexier "bird's eye view."
Applying the two color palettes of the Air Jordan 4 to the Jordan Zoom '92 and Delta Mid were achieved perfectly in our opinion. Inspired by elements from the Air Jordan 7, Nike Air Max 180 and Nike Air Force 5, the Zoom '92 carries a "9" on the heel and a visible Zoom Air Bag on the forefoot which clearly reads "AIR." The all-new Delta Mid incorporates all that we love from the low-top variation and adds a breathable upper with a padded collar and elongated tongue.
All four sneakers will release on unionjordanla.com on August 29. The Air Jordan 4 "Guava" will be the Union LA exclusive colorway. The brand has also promised to share a lookbook and apparel collection imagery in the following weeks. In related news, the long-awaited Air Jordan 1 co.jp "Tokyo" returns tomorrow.
