Maybe it's the full transition into the cooler temperatures and a resurgence in COVID cases that's causing brands to release more and more items weekly in an attempt to salvage Q4 sales. Either way, there's been a lot going on in the retail sector with numerous footwear releases lined up and collaborations coming to fruition. We take a look at some of the top news from the previous week and today.

Stone Island opens Beijing store

Stone Island has opened its Beijing location in the popular Sanlitun shopping and dining district. Spanning over 1,000 square feet, the new flagship store offers the Chinese market the latest from both the main line and Shadow Project line. Comme des Garçons x Nike Air Force 1 Mid release info

Comme des Garçons and Nike continue their partnership this week with a special Air Force 1 Mid collaboration. Releasing in both black and white, the sneaker's made an appearance on the runaway at CDG's Fall/Winter 2020 "Neo Future" show. The premium leather of the iconic sneaker is remixed with cut out panels and a deconstructed tongue. These will be available at CDG locations and Dover Street Market New York on October 23 for $270 each.

Converse x Denim Tears collection release info

Converse has teamed up with designer Tremaine Emory on a Denim Tears collection that not only raises awareness for the importance of voting but also the Black experience. To accomplish this, Emory translated the African-American flag onto the canvas of the Chuck 70 for the first-time ever. BBC x Reebok Question Low capsule release info

BBC ICECREAM is bringing back its famous "Beepers & Butts" print for the first time since 2005 and they've chosen to partner with Reebok on the Question Low to do so. Illustrated by Japanese graphic designer SK8THING, it's paired with the "Name Chains" print as well and brings back a different era of the brand to a new audience. Both pairs are available for $130 on October 22 via BBC before a wider release on October 30.

Kith x BMW Fall/Winter 2020 collection lookbook and release info

Ronnie Fieg and Kith have teamed up with BMW for a capsule collection this Fall/Winter 2020 season. Featuring 94-styles, the collection is the largest undertaking so far by the New York-based brand and BMW's first collaboration in the streetwear realm. Alongside apparel and accessories, an overhaul of Fieg's personal 1989 M3 E30 was conducted with Kith touches and a brand new 2021 M4 to match was also done as a design study. The entire collection will be available through Kith stores on October 23.

Sundae School launches "Mukbang Munchies: High in Seoul"

Sundae School reimagines a Seoul where bud isn't illegal and can be enjoyed alongside traditional snacks in its 2020 Cannart campaign dubbed "Mukbang Munchies: High in Seoul." The campaign is meant to further break down the stigma around smoking and edibles by infusing classical Korean annotations and the Hahoe region. Check it out below.

KANGHYUK x Reebok Premier Road Modern arrives in new red and white colorway

Following a "Jet Black" colorway back in July, KANGHYUK and Reebok bring forth another version of the Premier Road Modern silhouette. Inspired by the air bags and tires used in the collection, this red and white variation continues the automotive theme throughout the collection. These arrive at BOON THE SHOP in Seoul on October 23 and globally on October 30.
