Last week's presidential election had the entire United States on tilt for close to a week before Joe Biden was finally announced as the President-elect on Saturday, November 7. His running mate, Vice President-elect Kamala Harris makes history as the first woman, first Asian-American and first African-American to be elected as VP. With the outlook of the country more positive after the results, brands have started announcing more releases and news has picked up. Below are some of the biggest developments of the last week.
COSTS x FDMTL x New Balance 2002R release info
Shenzhen-based boutique COSTS has teamed up with Japanese denim label FDMTL to present a new iteration for the New Balance 2002R GALLERY project. Five different types of fabrics covers the sneaker and the tongue and heel are covered in FDMTL's Sashiko fabric. COSTS' Lychee Tattoo stitching is incorporated as well as a special packaging box with a detachable surface that conveys the theme of breakthrough for the project. G-DRAGON x Nike Air Force 1 "Para-noise" release info
South Korean hip-hop star G-DRAGON reignites his partnership with Nike for a second version of his Air Force 1 "Para-noise." The latest version arrives in a white colorway, allowing the wearer to create their own journey to self-actualization which G-DRAGON calls "Youtopia." These will release globally on November 25 and will definitely be sought after by K-Pop fans.

sacai x Nike VaporWaffle "Black/White" & "Royal Fuchsia" release info
Chitose Abe gave us a look at the sacai x Nike VaporWaffle in sacai's Spring/Summer 2021 lookbook and now two colorways are set to release. A classic "Black & White" version will drop alongside a 1984 Olympics Joan Benoit Samuelson-inspired gold medal winning "Royal Fuchsia" variant. The latest silhouette re-design from sacai and the Swoosh brings together the classic Pegasus silhouette from 1983 along with modern Vaporfly technology. These two colorways arrive on November 13 for $180 each via SNKRS app and select retailers.

nonnative x New Balance Fresh Foam Hierro M "Mole" release info
Japanese label nonnative has teamed up with New Balance to create a "Mole" colorway of the brand's trail running Fresh Foam Hierro silhouette. Based off the underground creature, the "Warm Grey" colorway follows nonnative's usage of biege colors. The typical "N" logo on the sides has been replaced with smaller "NB" logos instead and the sneaker features GORE-TEX, Fresh Foam X midsole and Mega Grip Vibram outsole. These will hit COVERCHORD and BEAUTY & YOUTH on November 21 for ¥18,500 JPY (~$175 USD).

VF Corp. buys Supreme for $2.1 billion USD
VF Corp. announced yesterday that it will buy Supreme for $2.1 billion USD. The deal is expected to close by the end of this year and Supreme founder/owner James Jebbia will stay onboard. Carlyle Group and Goode Partners LLC will sell their shares to VF Corp. VFC is the parent company of brands like Vans, Timberland and The North Face which Supreme collaborates on the regular with. These collaborations will continue and Supreme will also be allowed to collaborate with other brands outside the VFC family of brands as well. You can read statements here.
Hasan Minhaj x Cole Haan collaboration release info
American comedian Hasan Minhaj, best known for his Netflix series Patriot Act can add Cole Haan collaborator to his resume. Following a collaboration from Jeff Staple earlier this year, the brand has worked with Staple's Reed Art Department creative agency and Minhaj to reimagine the 4.ZERØGRAND Hiker and GrandPrø Rally Court Sneakers. A bright yellow and white colorway is paired with a black colorway to spread Minhaj's dad's immigrant story and rewriting the rules. You can shop the Hiker now for $270 via colehaan.com. The Rally Court Sneakers arrive in December.
COMME des GARÇONS CDG x Stussy "40th Anniversary" collection release info
Stussy is celebrating its 40th anniversary with a collaborative collection alongside COMME des GARÇONS' CDG label. The apparel selection includes tees, jackets, pants and accessories like bucket hats with a surfer carrying their board graphic. PUMA x Porsche 911 Turbo sneaker collection release info
To celebrate the iconic Porsche 911 Turbo, the German company has joined fellow countrymen PUMA for a new limited edition sneaker collection. The so-called "Icons of Fast" will celebrate nearly five decades and eight generations of the 911 Turbo and popular paint colors throughout the years. Set to release on November 17 via Porsche Design's website, you will have 2.7 seconds to purchase the sneakers - the same time it takes the 911 Turbo to go some 0 to 60 mph.

Supreme x Timberland Fall/Winter 2020 release info
Following their Euro Hiker Low collaboration this Spring/Summer 2020 season, Supreme and Timberland once again reunite for Fall/Winter 2020. This time the iconic 6" Boot is the canvas of choice and it has been given a big logo makeover. Timberland's logo covers one lateral side while an upside Supreme logo covers the opposite lateral. Three colors will be available including the classic wheat, black and a light blue/sea foam. Hit up Supreme locations on November 12 for the drop, Japan receives these on November 14.
