We cannot stand idly by and not stand up for the AAPI community as hate crimes against Asians around the world, especially here in the U.S., has risen drastically during this pandemic. It took the mass killing of 8 people from a white supremacist in an Asian hate crime that targeted Atlanta area spas for #StopAsianHate to finally be reported on by media - not without their own agendas and misuse of language.
We pray for the families of Soon Chung Park, Hyun Jung Grant, Suncha Kim, Yong Yue, Delaine Ashley Yaun, Paul Andre Michels, Xiaojie Tan, Daoyou Feng and countless others that have been attacked, harassed and killed. We thank everyone that is taking a stand of solidarity and fighting for us.
Please check in on your AAPI brothers and sisters and allow yourself time to take care of your own mental health and family/friends. If you're able, please support some AAPI organizations with donations. Below are some of the headlines from the past week.
